Adult Art Classes

This course is for photo hobbyists who want a hands-on experience in a variety of photographic subjects. Photography will review and expand camera operation and features with a series of exercises and possible field trips. Under the guidance of regional artist Andre Beneteau, students will further their application of camera techniques, composition and design by exploring subject areas to include indoor/outdoor portraits/pets, architecture, stage presentations, landscapes and more. Participants must provide their own camera. Materials not included.

From Life utilizes a live model to explore the human figure from different points of view. Benefit from the experience and leadership of regional artist Deborah Atkinson. Emphasis is on traditional life drawing but From Life also includes opportunity for experimentation. All levels of experience are welcome. Materials not included.

We will supply the paper, paint and brushes; you bring your enthusiasm. Join regional artist Jennie Clark in an exploration of watercolour techniques to include washes, glazing, wet in wet and dry brush. A painting programme for adults, from beginner to advanced. Regional artist Christina Luck leads participants through various explorations in painting. Use Acrylic, Gouache, Oil, Watercolour and Egg Tempera to investigate colour, texture, brushwork, glazing and more.
