Get creative this Easter! Join regional artist Mariya Blyznyuk and explore the art of Petrykivka, a decorative Easter egg painting technique with roots in Ukrainian ornamental folk art. In this painting tradition, representations of Spring such as flowers, leaves and berries make up the main design of the Petrekivska’s painting. Vibrant colours, charming birds, bright flowers, and red-ripe berries—all are typical for Petrykivka wooden egg decoration.
Mariya Blyzynuk will guide participants in the exploration of painting techniques using acrylic paint on a wooden egg and base, creating their own Petrykivka egg to celebrate the return of spring! Register early as spots are limited!
