Get creative this summer! Join regional artist Mariya Blyznyuk in a mixed-media painting workshop inspired by what makes our region so special—the water and sunny beach! Guided by Mariya, participants will explore a variety of painting techniques to create a vibrant artwork that represents a tidal wave. They will then bring their beach scene to life by adding shells, starfish, coral, pearls and other found objects saved from their own visits. The final piece is meant to act as a visual reminder of a fun summer memory. Register early as spots are limited!
Mariya Blyznyuk is Ukrainian Canadian Artist, Member of The Federation of Canadian Artists and the Barrie Art Club. In 2007, Mariya came to Canada and settled in Barrie, Ontario. She has organized and owns The Green Lion Arts Studio for children and adults, teaching painting, graphics, and illustrations, on various media and using various techniques.
