Spending time in nature inspires our creativity! This week we will be exploring the beauty of nature while we search for fun natural materials. Using these found materials along with a wide variety of tools, local artist Emily Cornish, will lead you through an exploration of new art techniques ~ all inspired by nature. Immerse yourself in the beauty that surrounds us as you explore, wonder and create together!
Emily Cornish is a practicing artist and instructor for the VanGo program at the MacLaren. She graduated from Laurentian University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a focus on developmental psychology. Her artistic practice is mainly watercolour with most of the subjects being the Canadian landscape and the animals found there. Her works are often inspired by the sights she sees while on road trips, on hikes, or driving to work.
