Description
Vivian Heliotis is a regional artist from Barrie, Ontario. She achieved her Honours Specialization of Visual arts at Western University in 2014. Since then, she has been inspired to share her love for the arts with her community. She is a member of Spareroom Artist Studios where she does most of her painting. She has facilitated private and group paint classes for all ages, and taught art programming in elementary schools. Vivian has also showcased her art at local galleries and been an integral member of the vibrant local art community. Over the past year Vivian had her artwork included in the 2023 Brightening Barriers exhibition, participated in teaching painting in Culture Days Barrie and was involved in summer events such as Lawn Chair Luminata and Openair Dunlop doing crafts for children.She wants people to approach painting with an open mind and is eager to share her enthusiasm and love of art with the community at the Maclaren Art Centre.
