This highly anticipated event brings together collectors, art lovers, and supporters for an exciting silent auction featuring a curated selection of contemporary artworks generously donated by celebrated regional artists. From emerging talent to established names, the auction offers something for every taste and budget. Feel good knowing your bids support the MacLaren’s fundraising initiatives, fueling the Gallery’s exhibitions, education and community programs.

Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere and delicious hors d’oeuvres as you mingle with artists and fellow art enthusiasts. Whether you’re placing your first bid or adding to a growing collection, OFF THE HOOK is your chance to take home original artwork while supporting culture and creativity in our region.

For Artists: Submit Your Artwork for Consideration by September 20

All artists are welcome to submit one to two artworks to be considered for the MacLaren’s 2026 OFF THE HOOK Silent Art Auction. This much-anticipated event raises crucial funds to support the MacLaren’s artistic and educational programs. We appreciate the generosity of artists like you who join our cause by contributing a piece of art.

Selected artists will receive one complimentary ticket to attend the event. As well, if your artwork sells, you may choose to receive either a cheque for 50% of the sale price OR a tax receipt for 100% of the sale price. Minimum bids will begin at 50% of the artwork value.

Please note that submission does not guarantee inclusion. The Art Auction Selection Committee will review submissions and select artworks best suited for the auction based on artistic merit, contribution to diversity across display, and curatorial direction.
