Urban Forest Immersion (Adult 16+)

Dates: Sunday, March 24
Time: 9:30 am – 12:00 pm
Fees: $44.00 + HST / $40.00 + HST Members

Do you hear the forest, the wood, and the water calling … inviting you to this immersive arts-based Forest Immersion experience guided by Karin Foulds, a visual artist and Expressive Arts Practitioner. Join us for a morning of deepening your relationship with the natural environment and ourselves as we respond creatively.

Our “slow” nature walk of less than 0.5km, will be guided through a series of “invitations” using the 5 senses. We will work in partnership with nature and our unique relationship within an urban landscape…to notice, awaken and ultimately respond creatively to what is offered that day and in the moment.

While our conversations on this journey will be minimal (this is an unplugged experience), there will be opportunities to connect with others, responding to our experiences both on our own and together, and ultimately sharing our experiences with other participants in a creative group response and closing tea back at the MacLaren.

*Program runs rain, snow or shine. Weather-appropriate attire is encouraged. Please be sure to bring water with you, your curiosity and an open heart!

Sorry, this event has passed.
