Painting with Pride

In celebration of Pride Month, and our local 2S-LGBTQ+ youth and communities, the MacLaren and pflag Canada — Barrie-Simcoe County Chapter are inviting youth ages 14 to 18 to join us for a drop-in painting workshop at the Gallery. In an inclusive, welcoming, and creative space, an artist instructor will guide participants to create an acrylic painting on canvas board, exploring themes of identity, community, and personal narratives.

The artwork created in this workshop will be displayed, whether in the MacLaren lobby, or on socials, from June to July 2024. After which the artists are welcome to pick up their artwork at the MacLaren front desk. Advance registration is recommended as spots are limited. Materials provided.
