Get ready for a week of exploring science through art! We will test out fun experiments like using household materials to change ordinary watercolour into something truly magical with the help of a little bit of science. Join local artist Emily Cornish for some STEM challenges where we’ll use our creative problem-solving skills to come up with solutions to different problems. Be inspired as you wonder, create and explore the world through science and art, having fun and making friends along the way!
Emily Cornish is a practicing artist and instructor for the VanGo program at the MacLaren. She graduated from Laurentian University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a focus on developmental psychology. Her artistic practice is mainly watercolour with most of the subjects being the Canadian landscape and the animals found there. Her works are often inspired by the sights she sees while on road trips, on hikes, or driving to work.
