In conjunction with Threadlines, join exhibiting artist Marlene Hilton Moore in a special workshop exploring artmaking and personal narratives.  Beginning with an informal tour, participants will learn more about the themes, narratives and materials explored in her exhibition. Inspired by the artwork on view, participants will be individually guided by Hilton Moore to create a mixed-media artwork on unstretched canvas—visually representing a personal narrative using a combination of techniques and media, such as sewing, collage, painting, drawing and more. This workshop is suitable for all levels of art experience. Bring your creativity and enthusiasm!

Participants are encouraged to bring a small section of fabric or textile of personal significance, which will be incorporated into the artwork created.
