Families are invited to get creative this summer! Join regional artist Mariya Blyznyuk in a mixed-media painting workshop inspired by what makes our region so special—the water and sunny beach! A parent/guardian and their child will have fun working side by side to each create a vibrant artwork that represents a tidal wave! Participants will then bring their beach scene to life by adding shells, starfish, coral, pearls and other found objects saved from their own beach visits. The completed paintings can then be displayed as a diptych, representing a family summer memory! Register early as spots are limited!
Mariya Blyznyuk is Ukrainian Canadian Artist, Member of The Federation of Canadian Artists and the Barrie Art Club. In 2007, Mariya came to Canada and settled in Barrie, Ontario. She has organized and owns The Green Lion Arts Studio for children and adults, teaching painting, graphics, and illustrations, on various media and using various techniques.
