Colour the Line
March 10 to 30, 2015
Rotary Education Centre

On Mondays from January 12, participants of Colour the Line have been adding a splash of colour to their drawings! Under the guidance of regional artist Christina Luck, young artists ages 10 to 14 demonstrated creativity beyond their years while spending evenings experimenting with pastels, coloured pencils and markers on a variety of paper surfaces. Landscapes, still lives and people were their subjects, and their results are outstanding. As demonstrated by their creations, each aspiring artist brought their own unique style and talent to the classroom.

Artworks by Olivia Companion, Jackson Graham, Isabel Haaji, Avery Halbert, Jaime Jenkins, Genevieve Kiff, Emilie Markwich, Jacqueline OKeeffe, Jackson Rothenburg and Isabelle Schwartz.

Artist-instructor Christina Luck is a painter and sculptor from Cookstown, and is the principle set designer for South Simcoe Theatre. She has a BFA in visual arts from York University and since the early ‘80’s has shown her artwork at numerous public and private galleries including Leo Kamen, Prime and the MacLaren Art Centre. Her artwork can be found in the collections of CIBC, Four Seasons Hotels, Labatt’s, Trimark and others.
