In acknowledgment of Black History Month and Erika DeFreitas: everything she inspires remains, belongs to light, families will learn more about this exhibition and create a large illustrated and collaged poster, exploring their take on anti-racism and inclusion. Advance registration required.
Angela Francis is a Canadian/Grenadian artist who studied Fine Arts at Georgian College and Graphic Design and Animation at The Art Institute of Toronto. She has also studied Visual Arts at The University of The West Indies in Trinidad. With over 30 years of experience, Angela teaches painting, her primary form of art, from her home studio in Barrie. Her studio, AFFA Studio is a local art collective for emerging artists.
Materials Needed From Home:

One medium or large sheet of white mixed-media paper

Block letters template (printed full page at 8.5 x 11)

Four 8.5 x 11 sheets of white cardstock or stiffer paper

Assorted coloured papers (for collage)

Magazines or old newspapers (for collage)

Pencil, eraser, scissors, ruler

Assorted markers, colouring pencils, crayons
