Admission free. Sign-up in advance
Youth ages 14 to 18 are invited to join Saskatoon-based artist Tammi Campbell for a unique workshop inspired by her solo exhibition Double Remove on view at the MacLaren from March 21 to June 23, 2019. Responding to “How-To” books on observational still-life drawing and online drawing challenges, youth will create artwork using a variety of trompe l’oeil techniques to question the real and the replica. The artwork created will be on display in the MacLaren Rotary Education Centre from April 20 to May 19, 2019.
Tammi Campbell received a BFA from the University of Saskatchewan. She has exhibited her works at the Esker Foundation, Calgary; the Remai Modern, Saskatoon; the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery, University of Toronto; Mercer Union, Toronto; and the Galerie de l’UQAM, Montréal. Her work is represented in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa; the Remai Modern, Saskatoon; the Dunlop Art Gallery, Regina; and the MacKenzie Art Gallery, Regina.
To register, call 705-721-9696 or stop by the MacLaren front desk in person. Spots are limited, so register early.
