Abstraction is rooted in prehistory around the globe and is still commonly practiced by artists. Heuman will trace the history of abstraction up to and including the work of Francisco-Fernando Granados.

Joshua Heuman attended York University where he completed his MA in Art History. Joshua has worked for over twenty years as an art museum educator and curator in Canada and the United States.
