In this master class led by regional artist Jeanette Luchese, participants will be engaged in a variety of playful approaches to art-making, designed to expand their studio practice in unexpected and exciting ways! The class will begin with a short introduction to the artist’s work followed by a day filled with experimental art-making—from image transfer techniques to maquette creation and spontaneous drawing and painting techniques. Beginner and intermediate levels of experience are welcome.

Jeanette Luchese’s interdisciplinary practice embraces the ‘now’ with a focus on perception. A first-generation Italian-Canadian settler with roots in the design arts, Luchese creates intuitively with a mindful preference in cross-pollinating disciplines of drawing, painting, printmaking, painting, sculpture and sound. She is a graduate of the School of Design and Visual Art, Georgian College (Barrie) and the School of Design, Sheridan College (Oakville), currently residing in Innisfil, Ontario. Jeanette exhibits internationally and regionally at numerous public galleries including the MacLaren Art Centre, Quest Art Gallery (Midland) and the Orillia Museum of Art & History, with notable solo exhibitions at Aurora Cultural Centre 2015 (Aurora), and Campus Gallery 2018, (Barrie).
