We all carry enormous inner lives — emotions, questions, and energies we don’t always have words for. This workshop creates a safe, expressive space where mixed media painting becomes the vocabulary. Guided by local artist Ryley James‘s intuitive practice, you are invited to stop asking “Am I doing it right?” and start asking “What does this feel like?” There are no wrong marks. No failure. Every layer, every colour choice, every accidental drip is information about the person making it. By the end of two hours, you will leave with a completed original painting — and something more valuable: the ability to explore & challenge your creative mind, to lean into your curiosity and ultimately, learning how to create freely and to trust your own intuitive direction & unique artistic vision.

Ryley James is a self-taught intuitive abstract artist and empath based in Innisfil, Ontario. Working in mixed media on canvas, she translates emotion, energy and the unseen into layered works of colour, movement and texture. Ryley believes every piece she creates holds a story meant for a specific person — that art, like energy, always finds its way to where it belongs. Her work invites you not just to look, but to feel.
