Description

Lewis

Lewis is a spoken word poet, self-taught artist, and performer. Lewis manifests edgy creations using beautiful acrylic palettes and mixed media. Her artwork is an experience of poetry; one that begins to flourish in a colourful, bold, and incredibly layered design. The addition of texture makes her work come to life. Her powerful poetry is written to evoke compassion and connection to humanity and nature. Lewis thrives being actively engaged in the local creative community. She has participated in Open Air Dunlop, Barrie’s Culture Days, and multiple markets with Innisfil Beach Road. She has exhibited and performed spoken word poetry in Simcoe County and Downtown Toronto. She has been awarded an Ontario Changemaker title by 880 Cities and has organised a mentorship program coming soon to Simcoe County. Lewis hopes that creatives dive into what art can become, expanding their ideals and thinking outside the box.
