Art and Wellness with Lisa Nackan

The MacLaren is excited to host a special series of workshops led by regional artist and art therapist Lisa Nackan. Focusing on art and wellness, participants will spend mindful and creative mornings working on a variety of projects—from mandala creation and collage to body mapping and more—all designed to reduce stress, ease anxiety and warm the winter months. Each workshop will begin with a meditation, followed by art-making, and will end with personal journaling.

Please note: participants will need to pick up their materials kit and sign up for Zoom in advance. A link will be provided by email prior to the start of the programme.

Lisa Nackan is an Art Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist. “I feel extremely privileged that the work I do combines three of my greatest passions: the creative process (art and writing), psychology (growth and healing), and social activism (community work). My life is passionately fueled by the words ‘making the invisible visible’. It is my belief that all art, in some way, makes the invisible visible. Even if it can’t be seen yet.”
