The MacLaren Art Centre Celebrates Artistic Youth!
Join us on Saturday, June 8 at 1:00 pm as we celebrate the creative talents of Simcoe County students in the youth exhibition Portfolio 2024!
Portfolio is an annual juried exhibition of works by graduating Grade 12 students and is an opportunity to highlight the accomplishments of these aspiring artists—drawing attention to the
strong visual arts programs in Simcoe County high schools.
Participating schools include:
- Banting Memorial High School (Alliston)
- Bear Creek Secondary School (Barrie)
- Innisdale Secondary School (Barrie)
- Maple Ridge Secondary School (Barrie)
- Nantyr Shores Secondary School (Innisfil)
- École Secondaire Catholique Nouvelle-Alliance (Barrie)
- Twin Lakes Secondary School (Orillia)
The jurors for Portfolio 2024 are Toronto-based curator and writer Katie Lawson and Yasmeen Kazak, Curatorial Assistant at the MacLaren Art Centre.
An opening reception will take place on Saturday, June 8 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Remarks are at 1:30 pm. All are welcome.
