MacLaren Art Centre is temporarily closed due to COVID-19
The MacLaren Art Centre is temporarily closed to the public to limit transmission and assist in reducing the spread of COVID-19. The continued spread of COVID-19 in Canada and around the world is of tremendous concern and we are closely following the public health recommendations set forth by the Government of Ontario, the Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit and the City of Barrie. This closure is temporary and the best way to safeguard the health and well-being of our visitors, volunteers and employees, and our community.
We are postponing our upcoming public events this spring as well as our in-person art classes, Family Sundays and W’Edge workshops, while developing new programmes online. We will continue to contact customers who have registered for activities, purchased tickets or booked rentals to arrange for credits, refunds or exchanges.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to visitors who were planning to visit the Gallery during this time. We will make every effort to share with you our programming online. The doors to our physical building may be closed, but our virtual building is always open: please enjoy our online workshops and exhibitions and follow us on social media.
In these challenging times, we will continue to make the best decisions possible for everyone’s well-being. Thank you for your understanding and your loyalty to the MacLaren Art Centre.
