Volunteer Opportunities

Gallery Shop: assist with sales, display design, stock merchandise and providing friendly MacLaren customer service while obtaining valuable retail experience.

Greeter Programme: Greeters welcome Gallery visitors and inform them of exhibitions, upcoming events and educational programmes while learning the basics of administrative duties.

Gallery Guide Programme: Gallery Guides lead tours for visiting school and community groups of all ages and abilities, encouraging dialogue around our exhibitions, our permanent collection and our rich building history.

Special Events: have fun planning and participating in the MacLarenArtCentre special events on site and in the community.

Administrative Support : Assist the Gallery staff with filing, data entry, bulk mailings, record keeping or your special business knowledge. Computer skills are an asset.

Ambassador Programme: MacLaren Ambassadors represent the Art Gallery in the community. With staff support, Ambassadors attend community events, such as festivals, fairs, children’s programmes and more, with the goal of raising awareness and promoting various Gallery programmes. An Ambassador will have the opportunity to engage with community members through their knowledge and experience in being a part of the MacLaren Art Centre.
