Just in time for the holidays, Gallery Shop Manager Megan Stevenato introduces artists behind some of MacLaren’s best-selling collections. Learn about their approaches and get a first look at new pieces of work.

Nicole Kibath, Glass Artist
Nicole Kibath has been a practicing glass artist for twenty years. Her training began at the University of Toronto Art School and continued at Sheridan College. She has taught in multiple schools across North America. Kibath’s work has been included in juried exhibitions and has received multiple international awards. She now resides in Midland and her work can be found in several galleries and shops in Ontario.
Katie Green, Hand Printing & Design
Katie Green is a local Barrie artist and the owner of Green by Hand. She focuses on making beautiful objects for everyday use. Her work interweaves a mix of hand-drawn text and original drawings of local sites. Through her artisitc practice, Katie hopes to share messages of self-love and connect people in the community.
Heather Ladouceur, Jewellery Artist
Heather Ladouceur was born in Almonte, Ontario and currently resides in Barrie. After completing a degree in Economics at Queens University, Heather decided to change direction completely. In 2014, she attended the Jewellery and Metals programme at Georgian College and afterwards completed the Goldsmithing and Silversmithing programme as well. Heather feels her true passion lies in designing and creating jewellery. She loves how great pieces can become part of a person’s identity and how the creator, in a small way, becomes part of the wearer’s life.
