Travis Doucette is the founder of the Barrie Historical Archive. He will speak about the archive project and the work currently underway. Presented in conjunction with the MacLaren’s exhibitions Look Once, Look Twice: Altered Photographs from the Sovfoto Archive and Archival Investigations.

Dr. Travis R. Doucette, a native of Barrie, is a local historian with educational roots in music. In 2013, he completed a Doctor of Ministry degree at Liberty University with an emphasis on music composition. Having travelled and taught abroad, Doucette returned to his hometown in 2012 where he laid the foundation to build the Barrie Historical Archive, a free online archive that celebrates Barrie’s rich history.

With larger groups, all attendees may be hosted in an alternate gallery space, where food or drink is not permitted.
