Lost and Found: The Inner Child

Photo courtesy of Simcoe County Museum.

Lost and Found: The Inner Child reflects on childhood experiences and memories. It reveals the inner child of Simcoe County, through nostalgic artifacts from the Simcoe County Museum’s collection paired with varied artworks from the MacLaren Art Centre’s collection. The exhibition explores themes of change, imagination, and care, and invites viewers to reflect on personal experiences.

Curated by students of the Museum and Gallery Studies program at Georgian College, Evan Helmond, Keegan Smith, Lauren Verbakel, and Sabrina Schoneveld.

To improve the experiences of youths in our community, this exhibition is collecting donations for Youth Haven, an organization sheltering and supporting underhoused youth. Donations may be left in the donation bin near the exhibition, or at the front desk. Donations accepted include: bus passes, non-perishable foods, kitchen wares, gently used bedding (blankets, pillows, pillowcases), hygiene products (nail clippers, pads/tampons), and clothing (shoes, work boots, jackets, new socks and underwear).
