Join us on April 28 for the ninth annual Spring Coffeehouse organized by the MacLaren’s Youth Advisory Council. Enjoy music and spoken word performances by local Simcoe County youth—all with a great cup of coffee! Activities include our very popular button-maker, out-of-this-world crafts and much more. This is an all-ages event, parents are welcome. Prizes will be awarded for the best Sci-Fi costumes! Proceeds for the Cosmic Café will go towards an art class bursary.

Weaving the Story of Anishinaabek Manitous and Animal Helpers with Will Morin

Join us for an engaging story time with Indigenous artist Will Morin! Families will help make a large human Dream Catcher, and have a choice to wear animal hats or puppets while assisting Will Morin weave the stories of the Thunderbirds, Water Serpents, the Rabbit, Bear and other animal helpers found in Anishinaabek Kinoomaagewin/Ojibway traditional teachings. Teachings of the Dreamcatcher will close the session.
