Bruce Meyer is author of 31 books of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, pedagogy and literary journalism including the national bestseller, The Golden Thread. With Barry Callaghan, he co-edited We Wasn’t Pals: Canadian Poetry and Prose of the First World War. His broadcasts, The Great Books, A Novel Idea, and Great Poetry for CBC Radio One are the network’s bestselling spoken word cd series. He is the inaugural Poet Laureate of the City of Barrie and professor of English at Georgian College. He was named one of the ten best lecturers in TV Ontario’s Big Ideas series in 2010. He lives with his family in Barrie, Ontario.
