March Break Camp with Meghan Thorpe (ages 10 to 12+ years)

Join us at the MacLaren Art Centre for a week of art making with local artist Meghan Thorpe. Each half-day afternoon programme will focus on a new activity and participants will enjoy a tour of current exhibitions for added inspiration. Painting, printmaking, sculpture and drawing are in the spotlight for this fun and interactive week!
ARTIST BIO: Imagined landscape settings have been the basis of Meghan’s inspiration. Her paintings consist of simplistic, subtly blended nature scenes contrasted with human elements, such as hydro lines, field crops. Meghan is exploring how the individual perceives landscape. Her neutral color palette and composition evokes a sense of calmness and serenity, almost making the landscape into a still life.
