Christyn Grampola is a very passionate person when it comes to visual arts. Since her continuous crafting in her younger years, she gradually became more mature in her studies and took great interest in drawing and acrylic painting. Over time, however, making art alone was not enough; she wanted to share this passion with others. Following her dreams to become a visual arts educator, Grampola attended Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. After graduating in 2013 from a five year program, Grampola earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with outstanding achievement, a Bachelor of Education, and the Russell N. Eden Art Award. Now an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT), Grampola is a proud member of the MacLaren Art Centre faculty.
Grampola continues to apply herself towards her own works, aiming to thrive and progress. She refers to herself as a realism artist, working primarily with acrylic paints and stretched canvas. The subjects found in her artwork reflect personal experiences and memories, allowing her works to visually document her life. To her, personal experiences and feelings are precious; they should always be appreciated. Ranging from family vacation collages, to landscapes of Georgian Bay, her paintings make her life an open book for viewers.
