Fees for the week and by the day

Camp for 3 to 5 year olds: Monday to Friday, mornings 9:00 am to 12:00 pm or afternoons 1:00 to 4:00 pm. $80/week or $20/day
Camp for 6 to 10 year olds: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. $150/week or $35 per day
Creative Cartooning Camp with Bob Kain for 9 years and older: Tuesday March 16 and Thursday March 18, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. $60/two days or $30/day

Join us at the MacLarenArtCentre for an engaging week of making art, the perfect way to keep kids happy and busy during March Break! Campers will have an opportunity to try their hands at painting, printmaking and sculpture, with a new activity every day. Sign up for one day or the whole week.

This programme fosters the creativity of pre-school children. Each session will feature a hands-on activity using different materials and methods. Participants will experiment and create artworks by working in printmaking, sculpture, drawing and painting. Barrie artist Jenn Guerin brings her artistic experience and sense of wonder to the course. To register, visit here

Cartoonist/illustrator Bob Kain, whose iconic illustrations for Chirp magazine have inspired generations of Canadian children, will lead participants in cartoon basics and techniques. Emphasis will be on the exploration of the imagination to produce inventive projects. Participants are encouraged to work on a variety of sizes and surfaces as well as individual and collaborative projects.

Art Start
has been introducing art-making to children for over 15 years and is designed to engage and challenge imaginations. Classes are led by Barrie artist Julie Robb and include drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and mixed media.
